7 April At Sea

Very little to report tonight. I think everyone enjoyed a sleep in this morning, it’s still cold but expected to be 23C in Kagoshima tomorrow!  During the day I fed $20 into a slot machine and came home with $75 so that was good.  Sue & I played trivia with some LA friends then the Captain held a cocktail party for past guests of Regent!  Some people have reached the top level and had over 1200 nights on Regent ships.  Crazy!  The dance/singing group, performed a number at this event.  We were invited to join the food and Beverage Director Ricky Ballinger at his table for dinner, , Ricky has invited us on a previous cruise and it was nice to see him again.  Another couple from Lake MacQuarie were also there.  Ricky is Australian, grew up  in Darwin but lived in Melbourne until he joined the cruise lines.  He’s a really nice guy, married to an Indonesian lady and they have 2 little girls. I went to the show for 10 minutes but due to an early start in the morning I’ve come home to set the alarm!!!  More tomorrow.
